Pendulum Foundation

Description

The Pendulum Foundation passed the first lowering of prison sentences for juveniles in two decades. We also created the nation's first juvenile clemency board. Our organization and cause has received local, national and international publicity, including a forthcoming documentary dealing with youth sentenced to die in prison.

We provide college scholarships for those serving 20 years or more inside and have created the only secular volunteer programs in Colorado's prison system. With the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling banning mandatory life without parole sentences for juveniles, laws can and must be changed to provide opportunities for former juveniles to have a second chance at freedom.
