Mission Statement

The purpose of Safe Horizons is to assist inidividuals with disabilities and their community support team to develop a financial plan without jeopardizing the beneficiaries' eligibilty for government benefits, such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income.

Description

Safe Horizons is a nonfprofit organization established by the Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities Inc., in conjunctions with University Legal Services and the District of Columbia Government. The goal of Safe Horizons is to improve the quality of life for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in Washington, D.C. through the Wesley Vinner Memorial Trust.
