Mission Statement

The Francis Center for Servant Leadership seeks to infuse servant leadership experiences, which include engaged learning, volunteerism and co-curricular experiences thorughtout the fabric of university life by: Assisting faculty with the incorporation of engaged learning techniques in their classes. Developing community partnerships, which support internships and community-based learning and research. Facilitating campus wide servant leadership initiatives such as Campus Week of Dialogue and Servant Leadership Week. Provide training and mentoring for Francis Scholards, the AmeriCorps Bonner Leaders, and NC-ACTS. Coordinating campus-wide servant leadership efforts through the work of the Servant Leadership Council; which is lead by the Director of the Francis Center for Servant Leadership.

Description

The Francis Center for Servant Leadership serves to carry out the mission of Pfeiffer University to prepare servant leaders for life-long learning. The center coordinates all volunteer service on and off campus and works with community partners to meet the Stanly County area needs.
