Mission Statement

To coordinate long-term recovery actions/assistance for those individuals and families impacted by disaster in Cobb County, namely assisting those affected by severe flooding brought by Hurricane Dennis in July 2005.

Description

In response to the ongoing recovery needs of more than 400 Cobb County households affected by severe flooding brought by Hurricane Dennis in July 2005, more than 20 Cobb faith-based organizations, nonprofits, businesses, local government and civic groups have come together to form Cobb Disaster Recovery (CDR)- a volunteer-based long term coordination committee dedicated to assisting families and individuals impacted by disaster through coordinating the many ongoing aspects of recovery including assessment, case management, assistance and rebuilding/repair.
