Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music is a music-making community where the aspirations of students of all ages and abilities are met with a commitment to excellence through creative expression, disciplined training, and performance opportunities. Thus our motto is "Enriching lives through the joy of music."
The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music is a community music school offering high caliber music training to students of all ages from infants to seniors, and all levels from beginners to accomplished musicians. The Conservatory faculty hold degrees in music, with 80% holding a master’s or doctoral degree.
The Conservatory has a community outreach program called Music for All, which provides need-based scholarships to study at the Conservatory, music workshops for immigrants and refugees, performances for the ill and elderly in hospitals and nursing homes, and free concerts for downtown Saint Paul workers and community members--and, perhaps most importantly, music training to low-income school children in St. Paul Public Schools.
This year, the Conservatory will reach over 600 low-income children through Music for All during the school day and in after-school enrichment programs.
The Conservatory is located in the historic Exchange Building in Downtown Saint Paul, situated between the Fitzgerald Theatre and Minnesota Public Radio--just steps from the new Central Corridor 10th Street Station. Renowned recorder artist Clea Galhano leads the organization, serving as the Executive Artistic Director. The faculty consists of over 35 musicians who are recognized artists in their fields, and perform regularly in renowned venues locally, nationally, and internationally.
