The mission of BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo is to provide and maintain a community-based Zoo for the residents of East Baton Rouge Parish and surrounding areas for the expressed purpose of recreation, education, conservation, and research as these components relate to the wildlife of the world and its impact upon our lives and the lives of future generations.
