Mission Statement

A state-wide non-profit service organization, New York State Alliance for Arts Education is dedicated to ensuring that the arts become an integral part of every person's education in New York State. NYSAAE disseminates information about model programs, funding and standards of excellence, develops training models for constituent organization and advocates for arts education at the local, state and national levels.

Description

The New York State Alliance for Arts Education (NYSAAE) is dedicated to building capacity for arts education and serves a broad constituency of arts advocates including educators, artists, administrators of arts organizations, parents and members of communities across the state. Founded in 1983 as a non- profit organization, we are located in the Cultural Education Center in Albany, NY. NYSAAE is supported by The New York State Council on the Arts, The New York State Education Department, The Dana Foundation, the New York Times School Arts Rescue Initiative and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. NYSAAE is part of a network of state alliances affiliated with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
