Days for Girls works to help girls stay in school and retain dignity by empowering girls, women and communities to have access to quality sustainable feminine hygiene, while also providing sanitation and health training to those who would otherwise go without. All through socially oriented, informed design kits that also provide income for local sewing cooperatives, and trainers.
Days for Girls began in 2008 when we learned that girls at a large orphanage were going without hygiene. It turned out that this issue is an important key to social change. After serving tens of thousands of girls, Phase 4 has launched: Empowering local economies on a national scale with girls and women serving as agents of change while leading hybrid market-driven distribution.
