Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC)

Description

CHAC began as a grass-roots movement in 1973, led by a group of parents and community leaders who were concerned about the growing problem of adolescent alcohol and drug use in the cities of Mountain View, Los ALtos and Los Altos Hills. Today CHAC's work has expanded beyond drug and alcohol intervention to include all the various stresses affecting youth and their families. CHAC works closely with local school districts and community agencies to provide counseling and living skills pprograms.
