Mission Statement

BARCS is a non-profit organization created in July 2005. We work in conjunction with the Baltimore City Bureau of Animal Control. Together our mission is to protect animals from neglect, abuse and exploitation, to advocate their interests and welfare, and to inspire awarenesss and compassion for all living things.

Description

The day to day operation of BARCS involves the direct handling of lost, abandoned, unwanted, and injured pets and wildlife. We accept all animals. BARCS encourages adoptions to good homes and works will all reputable rescue groups. Your assistance whether through adoption, volunteering, education, or donation will greatly support us in our mission and help reduce animal suffering. As a community, we can make a difference in the lives of homeless and neglected animals.
