Our mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in society. We safeguard, rescue, shelter, heal, adopt and advocate for animals in need, while inspiring community action and compassion on their behalf.

Description

AHS is the state's largest nonprofit animal-welfare and protection agency. We are a private 501 (c) 3 organization funded by donations. We do not receive any government funding or tax revenue and are not affiliated with any local, state, national or animal control agencies.
