Volunteer Cookie Comfort Project

Nothing says I care more then a nice warm cookie and a smile! We are currently accepting applications for volunteers for the Cookie Comfort Volunteer. Volunteers in this position will bake (Using supplied frozen cookie dough,) and deliver fresh baked cookies to our families waiting for news of their loved ones in the surgery and waiting areas at North Colorado Medical Center. Current shift\times available Monday 10:30-12:00 PM Wednesday 10:30-12:00 PM Friday 10:30-12:00 PM

Help patients, staff and families select & make purchases to help brighten the day of families & patients going through a difficult time. All proceeds from the Gift Shop are used to fund patient and family support programs at BFCMC. 10-2:00 PM No experience necessary. We will train the right person! Surgery Waiting Volunteer

The hospital experience can be filled with stress and anxiety. Our Surgery Waiting Room is looking for a compassionate and empathetic volunteer to assist patients and their families during their surgery procedures. Volunteers will help keep our families up to date with information on their loved one's surgery, help our guests with wayfinding, and to help provide a positive experience for our patients and families. We are looking for detail orientated volunteers with a passion for customer service as well as being a team member supporting the clinical staff. Communication and outstanding customer service skills needed as well as a heart for serving others. If you are an early morning riser this may be the position for you! Current opening for Wednesday mornings 6:30 AM-11:45 AM

North Colorado Medical Center Medical Oncolgy Infusion Clinic Volunteer

We are currently accepting applications for the Medical Oncology Infusion Clinic volunteer positions at North Colorado Medical Center. Volunteers must be at least eighteen years of age and be willing to volunteer one day a week. The current opening is for Mondays from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00-1:00 PM (Once a week.) We are looking for volunteers who work well independently and, in a team, setting. Volunteers will need excellent communication skills and be comfortable volunteering in a clinical setting with cancer patients. If you have personally experienced cancer in your life or that of a family member, or you have an interest in a future oncology career, we would love to hear from you. This is a very physical position, so we require prospective candidates who have been through cancer treatment be 6 months post treatment and/or have the ability to walk, stand, bend etc. for a 2-3-hour shift.
