Mission Statement

The Social Y is committed to making a positive impact within the pre-teen, teenage and young adult community through exposure, mentorship, education, internships and scholarships which will allow empowerment within these groups to facilitate social change. Our mission is to provoke self-sufficiency and create positive growth within their social network.

Description

Where does the Social Y name come from? The answer to all questions begin with a simple question; Why? Why are there so many social issues? We seek to find answers and solutions to questions like; Why does discrimination still exist and why are there education inequalities?

The Social Y has tapped into the youth of America and charged them with overcoming these challenges for the next generation in our society. Through the use of exposure, mentorship, education and financial subsidies, the Social Y empowers youth to be the change they wish to see in society.

It’s a simple plan with many challenges. Make each person a self-sufficient powerhouse for change, creating individual leaders who can evoke the needed paradigm shift in thinking that will be spread throughout the world.
