Mission Statement

The mission of the Oregon Fire Museum, Memorial & Learning Center is to identify, collect, preserve, interpret, and disseminate materials and information pertaining to Oregon's fire service history in order to assist the public in understanding and appreciating the innovation, dedication, bravery, & heroic sacrifice of Oregon's firefighters.

Description

The Oregon Fire Service Museum is a public, non-profit, educational institution devoted to preserving the history and heritage of the fire service in general and the Oregon fire service in particular. A major goal of the museum is to preserve and exhibit historical fire records, apparatus, equipment and memorabilia. Further objectives are the restoration of antique fire apparatus and equipment, developing a multimedia-learning center for fire safety education and establishing a statewide memorial for fire service personnel.
