The mission of the MCBA is to engage diverse artists and learners in finding creativity, expression and inspiration through the book arts. The artistic vision of MCBA is to preserve the traditional crafts of bookmaking, advance the book as a vital contemporary art form, and interpret the book in its aesthetic, historic and cultural contexts.

Description

The Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) is Minnesota's only book arts center and is the largest, most comprehensive book arts center in the country. MCBA was founded in 1983 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing artists engaged in creative expression through the book form, celebrating and preserving the traditional arts of bookmaking, and showcasing the book in all its contexts.
