Mission Statement

The Community Partnerships Protecting Children is an initiative of the Cobb County Department of Family and Children Services. Its purpose is to bring community organizations, public and private social service agencies, health and mental health systems, faith instituitions and other interested entities together as partners for developing community child protection in our neighborhoods.

Description

The partnership provides community child protection to the targeted zip code area. The system mobilizes its partners to act in several ways. They prevent childe abuse and neglect before it occurs through a provision of a wide range of family services and supports; they respond quickly and effectively to instances of child abuse and neglect in a way that ensures children's safety. They reduce the occurance of child maltreatment through effective family interventions.
