Description

Through its landmark peer-reviewed publications, the Geographical Review and FOCUS on Geography journal, and through assorted consulting and lecture services, the AGS excels in presenting clearly and concisely relevant geographical information that can be understood by the general public as well as by professional geographers.

The AGS has been noted for pioneering work in exploration and cartography; for amassing the foremost geographical research library in the Western Hemisphere; and for research, mapping, and consulting services for government and business at the highest levels. The AGS also sponsors exciting travel programs around the globe, with special lectures by leading geographers.
