Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse which is a non-denominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to children. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet the needs of children worldwide who suffer from war, poverty, disease, and natural disaster. Operation Christmas Child makes it possible for millions of children to experience God's love through shoe boxes filled with gifts packed by caring individuals, families, churches, and organizations in the U.S. and 12 other countries.

The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Description

Operation Christmas Child is staffed by thousands of committed connect volunteers who are serving year-round in their local communities to reach these hurting children. They are mobilized churches, community groups, prayer support, and media coverage in order to recruit and enroll churches and groups to participate in Operation Christmas Child by packing and giving shoe box gifts. Your efforts in your local community can make a huge difference to a child overseas!
