Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Clackamas County Juvenile Department to provide fair and just sanctions to juvenile offenders, to protect the community from the criminal actions of juvenile offenders, and to hold offenders responsible for their actions and accountable for the consequences of those actions. Restoration to the community and to victims for losses is a fundamental factor in our work. Our practices shall emphasize prevention of further criminal activity by use of early sanctions, personal accountability, counseling and education. Our mission also includes assisting the Juvenile Court in the legal intervention of children at risk of abuse or neglect. We assist child caring agencies in developing a reunification program that will allow at-risk children to either return to their own home or develop a permanent plan that will provide them with physical and emotional safety and stability.

Description

We are recruiting for Community Guides (Youth Mentors) to come alongside at risk youth on community service learning projects. These Community Guides play a major role in helping our youth identify strengths, as well as coaching them in the development of everyday life skills. It's a great way to ensure that the next generation of youth has a solid footing. Come join us in making a significant impact on young people's lives.

There is NO justice for youth here. They are just trying to be politically correct. They punish them in inappropriate ways instead of focusing on positive changes in our youth. Sad.
