Legacy Event Planners

Description

Legacy Event Planners was founded in 2008 by three North Carolina State University students - Jenn Halweil, Joseph Heil and Will McGuire - to redefine the way Universities interact with their local communities. From this vision, the first ever Hillsborough Street festival was born, and the subsequent street-wide celebrations that have followed.

Embracing elements from service learning and social entrepreneurship models, Legacy unites students, families, and professionals through executing award winning community events. Legacy alumni have gone on to start companies, lead non-profit organizations, and our events have bolstered local economic development by raising resources and awareness for local businesses and charities.
