Mission Statement

Real Talk 4 Girls is a national campaign encouraging women to create safe spaces where adolescent girls can dialogue, develop life skills and practice healthy habits. The mission of Real Talk 4 Girls is to inspire, engage and mentor minority girls through the development of girl-centered Real Talk groups. The program uses a restorative circle process for girls to explore issues that affect their self-esteem, behavior, interpersonal relationships, and academic performance. The circle process is an excellent tool to build and restore relationships and teach social problem solving.

Engaging, Stimulating, Empowering & Dynamic! Our Girl-Centered Conferences are all day events that are structured to give girls a voice to take action. The Conferences are complete with workshops facilitated by experienced and professional women in the community; local entertainment; and vendors.

Using our Positive & Healthy Relationships Activity Guide Curriculum and Journey to Self Discovery Journal, Real Talk Clubs use a Restorative Circle Process to tackle tough issues of: family relationships; self-esteem; bullying; goal setting; romantic relationships, and much more. The curriculum has 10 sections, and 40 activities to utilize in a small group setting.

We provide facilitator certification and technical assistance for utilization of our Positive & Healthy Relationships curriculum. The train the trainer workshops will provide future facilitators with the tools and resources needed to create a psychologically safe place for girls to explore the most pressing issues facing them today.
