I worked with their ROOTS education program, and they are a very easy bunch to work with; patient, helpful, understanding and supportive. You can be a class 'partner' for someone incarcerated, kind of like a pen-pal, or you can develop correspondence classes for them. People don't seem to care about the incarcerated much, so they could really use some help. You may even lower the recidivism rate, who knows?
