Mission Statement

Davis Performing Arts Center mission is to create a performing arts center in the inner city of Jacksonville where young people can advance in their educational learning in the art of theatre, dance, and music and where the performing arts is used to motivate, educate, inspire, challenge and enrich the lives of young people so they can become successful, productive and competitive citizens.


Davis Performing Arts Center is a non profit 501(c) 3 organization in the greater Jacksonville Area. Our program is designed to give under served youth an equal opportunity to learn in various areas of the performing arts. In our program we offer theatre, dance, and music. As an after school and summer program we work with area schools in provide support to encourage student success. Research has shown that youth who are involved in the performing arts have an increased in their self esteem; which also increase their performance in the class room. Davis Performing Arts help to reach all types of learners by offering rigorous culturally competent programs. Davis Performing Art is also designed to raise the expectation and academic rigor of our students, which will encourage college readiness goals. Our program allows the student creativity and the ability to express themselves while demonstrating their learning through various projects and performances. Through various performing art projects we educate the whole child, as well as accommodate various learning styles of all students. The program allow student to learn a wide range of skills sets that will help to reinforce academic rigidity and success.
The centers is located at 2839 W. Beaver Street, Jacksonville Florida 32254; hours of operation are 4:00 p.m. - 6:00p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We are closed on weekends and holidays.
