Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Believe*Achieve Program is sponsored by the Saint Paul Public Schools Foundation and is a school-based tutoring program. Believe*Achieve allows volunteer tutors to join the effort to eliminate the achievement gap in Saint Paul by giving one hour a week as a tutor in a school. All tutoring programs are coordinated by national service members sponsored through the Foundation.
Volunteer Tutors must enjoy spending time with children, be 16 years or older, have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), and be able to read, write, and speak English. You do not need to be a teacher or have previous tutoring experience!
Spend one hour working one-on-one or in small groups with students (K-6) in need of academic support in reading and/or math
Adhere to Believe*Achieve expectations and policies as laid out in the Volunteer Tutor Handbook
Maintain accurate records of each tutoring session

Strive to provide quality tutoring by taking advantage of resources and trainings when applicable

In order to build a consistent and supportive relationship with students, we ask that tutors commit to one hour per week for at least a year (with some exceptions)
