--Justin Kibbe, Former Managing Editor & Associate Publisher, THE Pasadena Foothills Magazine; Leadership Pasadena Alumnus

Leadership Pasadena is a hands-on, community-focused leadership program that immerses community members in Pasadena’s rich history, government and infrastructure. The program also provides personal executive leadership training and coaching, helping participants build meaningful connections with area decision-makers. This is achieved through Leadership Pasadena’s in-depth, experiential classes taught by Pasadena’s top influencers, and through impactful team-based projects in collaboration with local non-profit organizations.

Effective May 2018, Leadership Pasadena launched a new Community Leadership Course for Veterans to re-mission them through community service leadership in the San Gabriel Valley!

I am a 2001 Leadership Pasadena alumna and have continued to stay involved with the organization for the last 15 years. I've served on the board of directors twice and am excited about the direction we are headed. I continue to stay involved because of the unique programming that we offer; different from other leadership programs. Leadership Pasadena graduates learn about their communities, leadership and themselves in an environment that fosters critical thinking, deepening community connections and practical applications of the new skills learned. But mostly I continue to stay involved because of the friendships that I have created as a result of our shared experiences.

I am a recent LP alumnus and a very recent addition to LP's Executive Board. LP has served as hub for like-minded people, brought together by a common commitment to betterment of our local Pasadena area. Our alumni work across the spectrum, both in private and public organizations, of all sizes. I was fortunate enough to meet, through LP, folks who were putting together a program at Pasadena High School that fell squarely within the scope of my professional and personal interests. Long story short, I have been a volunteer instructor with the Pasadena Unified School District for the past two years, and I couldn't be happier about this opportunity that presented itself through LP. LP is a particularly unique organization, and if you are interested enough to be reading reviews... I strongly suggest that you reach out to us and ask for more information. We are always keeping busy and are actively looking for new and interesting people and projects to work with.

I can't say enough good things about Leadership Pasadena! From the very first information session to engaging with a diverse community of alums and leaders who are making a difference in the community, this is one of the best organizations I've ever encountered. This is truly a hands-on educational and service leadership program with unending opportunities to reach out to help others, and be helped. In addition to the 8 month curriculum, we are immersed in a service project to help non-profit organizations accomplish a goal they couldn't otherwise, without additional talent and resources. My involvement also includes volunteering for events and special projects to elevate awareness of LP and build on the great work already taking place. We are building for the future and welcome anyone interested in more information to contact LP.
