The mission of the Reid Park Zoological Society is to support, advocate for, and enhance the value of Reid Park Zoo for the community. We encourage human commitment to the conservation of biological diversity and to provide educational and fun experiences for guests of all ages.

Volunteer to share your passion for wildlife and conservation with others. Make the future of your zoo brighter than ever before.
Our docents are volunteer educators that inspire visitors to protect wild animals and wild places. As a docent, you'll be expressing our conservation message in your educational activities while being part of a dynamic and diverse team unlike any other. The minimum commitment is 1 year (120 hours) and includes opportunities for research projects, animal handling and education stations.
