Mission Statement

As a faith-based, nonprofit agency, we have a simple philosophy and a clear mission: To bring people together from all walks of life; to work in partnership with families in need; and to help eliminate poverty housing worldwide.

Habitat for Humanity Stanislaus has been active in Stanislaus County since 1989. The focus of Habitat for Humanity is to build or rehabilitate affordable homes utilizing volunteer labor, donated materials and services, and private or corportate contributions... using donated materials and volunteer labor, Habitat is keeping cost significantly lower than the current market. ...building homes with people not for people. The partner families are required to invest a minimum of 500 hours of "sweat equity" in the construction of homes. . ...strengthening our community by providing stable homes for families to raise children to be productive citizens. ...building a strong sense of community when people from all races, religions, and class work toward a common good. Building Homes, Building Hope, Building Communites, One Nail at a Time...
