Mission

The specific and primary purpose for which this corporation is formed is to provide support for and facilitate the representation of the community in mental health activities by providing services for community groups working in conjunction with mental health activities; providing funds for educational activities conducted by and for community advisory boards; and conducting research, educational and other activities in the area of mental health.

Description

Overview

SFMHEF is a 501C3 non-profit organization. SFMHEF contracts with the City andCountyofSan Francisco to staff and operate the San Francisco Mental Health Board, to provide fiscal intermediary services for training programs and special projects developed by Community Behavioral Health Services programs or other community providers. SFMHEF has especially focused on increasing services for women and girls and encouraging more gender responsive programming. Members of the board are a mix of Mental Health Board members and members of the community.
