Community service is always good

I received an email stating that I had to register as a volunteer on their website. So I registered as a volunteer and listed my availability. For the next week I only received SPAM emails about signing up for their technology seminar products. I tried to remove myself from those emails but I continued to receive promo offers.
I hope they change that business practice.
Once I volunteer for them I hope to add a better rating.

I love helping seniors as they learn about Facebook, Pandora, e-mail, Words with Friends, tablets and the Internet. It's exciting to see someone who has never done these things or even ever logged onto the Internet on their own feel comfortable with it. It feels really good to help a past generation learn about the technology that this generation uses in our everyday life. I would highly recommend volunteering for this group because it is fun and beneficial for everyone. The instructor, Jane Ratliff, is very effective at presenting concepts in a clear way that makes them easy to understand and makes everyone want to come back for more (seniors and volunteers!)

The Instructor (and founder), Jane Ratliff is an exceptional instructor when it comes to introducing and instructing on technology to seniors. She takes great pains to make sure all the participants understand what she is presenting and is conscious of the volunteer’s strengths and uses them to their best ability.
Jane is very organized and makes sure every volunteer knows where to be, what is being taught and makes them a part of the class. She keeps everyone involved in the class and time just flies by. Even staying after class to answer each and every question, Jane makes sure everyone is helped no matter if it’s a volunteer or a class attendee.

I had the opportunity and pleasure to volunteer for BlueHair Technology Group a few times. The instructor, Jane Ratliff is very personable and pleasant to work with. I had a great time helping Jane assist the seniors with the lesson(s) that she was teaching...I even learned a few things myself! The seniors that attend these workshops are eager to learn and Jane makes it an enjoyable experience for them. I highly recommend volunteering for this group.
