Mission Statement

Elected in November 2010, George Runner represents the State Board of Equalization's Second District. His number one priority is to advocate for taxpayers. He believes that hard-working Californians deserve to have someone working on their behalf in support of fair tax policies that will help grow our economy and jobs.

Description

The Board of Equalization collects California state sales and use tax, as well as fuel, alcohol, and tobacco taxes and fees that provide revenue for state government and essential funding for counties, cities, and special districts.

George Runner represents the Second District, which spans from San Bernardino to the Oregon border and includes more than 9 million Californians.
