Science in the Hood is a community-based program that offers neighborhood youth a fun way to explore their world through science.

Description

Oakland Discovery Center is a free drop-in afterschool and Saturday program for youth ages 6 to 16 with a focus on exploration and science inquiry. We have two sites: High and Brookdale in central east Oakland and Union and 10th in west Oakland.

We provide youth with the materials, resources, and coaching that allows them the creative space to discover their own skills and enables them to pusue their own interests.
