Mission Statement

The mission of the American Friends of Turkey, Inc. is to support and strengthen people-to-people relations between America and Turkey by deepening the understanding and appreciation of our two centuries of friendship. Our goal is to develop a broad range of mutual interests including culture, education, the environment, literature and the arts.

Message from the President

I am pleased to welcome you, and invite you to read about our lectures, trips, and other programs designed to strengthen people-to-people relations between Turkey and America. You will find a wide variety of programs that will interest you during our program year of September to May. We will be offering new trips this year, as our trips in the last program year proved highly successful. In addition, you will find on our website information about museums, books, current events in Turkey, Turkey in the Region and a combined calendar of events for the Washington-based Turkish-American organizations.
