MITH is a charitable corporation whose specific purpose is to promote the general welfare of adolescents in the home, the community, in public or private schools. The organization was formed to; support families in taking full responsibility of the direction and evaluation of childcare programs. This is done within the limits of the functions and policies established by the licensee and non-profit status.
MITH provides charter school environment with a touch of computer training for grades k-12, focusing on the education of children. MITH combines academic support, professional mentoring opportunities by means of corporate volunteerism and community resources. MITH works directly with children in order to help them with their academics’ curriculum and proficiency Exams Review.
Our Teaching Philosophy
Our program is designed to; help children reach their fullest potential. MITH programs feature developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that children enjoy. Our curriculum will provide lessons that help develop; the whole child physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our educational programs encourage each child to learn at his or her own pace. Each day children have many activities and fun play experience to choose from - all of which are planned with the interest of the child in mind and with goal or preparing each child for the next level of learning.
Our program is designed to help students with their academic curriculum and proficiency examination review. Our program is designed not to bore children with homework only, we will make each training an exciting and enjoyable experience, combined with computer training, internet access (with restrictions), educational games, field trips and volunteers form highly trained organizations.
Recognizing that literacy is a major obstacle in education, we are proud to offer a caring program to help. MITH focus on our children families and community’s welfare and safety.
The Mouse in the House program has established three goals, which are:
- A. Providing programs for foster intellectual preparation and development. This was achieved with acquisition of our current facility. Here we provide students with a safe, healthy well-supervised learning environment staffed by caring, competent and supportive adults.
- B. Offering 0ne-on-one tutoring, also good staff that will extend, enrich and remediate the students identified academic/social needs. This type of relationship helps to fill existing gaps in services to children within our community.
- C. Second, providing professional computer training.
