Pro Mujer's mission is to support Latin American women living in poverty to build better futures for themselves and their families through microfinance, business skills, and health care support.

Description

PRO MUJER is an international microfinance and women's development organization. Pro Mujer initiated services in 1990 in the El Alto municipality of La Paz, Bolivia. Incorporated in the United States as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Pro Mujer's legal headquarters and board of directors are located in New York City. Pro Mujer has expanded beyond Bolivia to include operations in Nicaragua, Peru and Mexico.
