The Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County promotes building enough well-designed, sensibly located homes so that anyone who works, lives or grows up here can live here if they choose, in housing that meets their needs. We endorse housing developments that meet our criteria for location, density, and affordability; provide public education and outreach; and serve as a leading housing information resource for the county. Building high-quality homes of all types---houses, townhouses, condominiums, apartments---near transit and neighborhood centers will strengthen our towns and reduce car trips.
