Mission Statement

The mission of John XXIII AIDS Ministry is to "provide housing and related services to people living with HIV/AIDS; and to generate and foster compassionate understanding, provide HIV education, prevention and testing activities, and emotional and end-of-life services to individuals and families at risk for, or living with, HIV/AIDS in Monterey and San Benito Counties, California."

Description

John XXIII provides housing and related practical services to more than 250 persons living with HIV/AIDS annually. In addition, 100 loved ones are recipients of comfort through our emotional support programs. John XXIII's HIV education, prevention and testing programs reach thousands of at-risk individuals each year. John XXIII volunteers contribute more than 10,000 hours of time, talent and dedication to the HIV community annually. The visionary Board of Directors, professional staff and trained volunteers at John XXIII understand the unique needs of people affected by HIV/AIDS and those at risk and provide services in an environment of respect, hope and understanding.
