To build resources and lead change so that every woman and girl in Colorado achieves her full potential.
Since its inception in 1986, The Women’s Foundation of Colorado, Inc. has focused upon the following goal: that every woman in Colorado is economically self-sufficient, and every girl is on the path to economic self-sufficiency in adulthood. The Foundation funds five interdependent strategies to achieve this goal: 1) research to identify critical issues and solutions, 2) education to shine a spotlight on these issues and solutions, 3) public policy reform to change systemic barriers to economic self-sufficiency, 4) grant making to nonprofit organizations that work directly with women and girls to create pathways to economic self-sufficiency, and 5) fund raising to significantly invest in these strategies. The Foundation also works to promote and inspire women and girls as strategic philanthropists and advocates for change.
