Mission Statement

The Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development and world peace. CCI coordinates programs for thousands of foreign exchange students annually in the United States and abroad. CCI arranges foreign exchange student programs in which international exchange students from around the world are placed with American host families and American students are placed with host families in other countries throughout the world. In addition to programs for high school exchange students, CCI provides work and travel or internship opportunities for college students in the United States and abroad as well as other short-term cultural exchange programs in the United States and abroad. CCI has opportunities for individuals throughout the United States to become involved in the administering of our cultural exchange programs by becoming CCI Area Representatives. As an Area Representative you have the opportunity to change the world by offering your local community an opportunity for international exchange. CCI also has opportunities for American families interested in hosting an international student. CCI Host Families represent the diversity of American culture. They are of varied economic, religious and racial backgrounds, and include working parents, childless couples, single parents and couples whose children have grown.
