Our mission is to provide job skills that will give graduates of the program a competitive edge in the job market. They will have specific measurable competencies that they can share with potential employers.
Additionally, our youth will match with mentors to build supportive, educational bonds. Graduates of the program will learn not only marketable skills, but develop soft skills like relationship building and appropriate problem solving.
The youth development program is comprised of six learning areas as well as general employee success. Youth will be required to pass evaluations at certain levels and will be required to pass four out of the six areas to graduate. When they graduate, they will do so at a bronze, silver, or gold level.
Within the six areas, youth will learn marketing, customer relations, software (Office and Quickbooks), shipping and receiving, scheduling, payroll, management, and much more.
There are additional opportunities for learning throughout the program. For instance, we have partnered with the local community college to provide career readiness classes after which youth will receive a nationally recognized Career Readiness Certificate.
