The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Our work is dedicated to providing educational experiences that encourage the understanding and appreciation of sculpture.
The Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum is a non-profit organization founded around the work of American sculptor Charles Umlauf. The full range of Charles Umlauf's incredible work can be seen in both permanent and changing exhibitions inside the museum as well as outside in a wheelchair accessible garden.
Umlauf Gardens is a really fun, laid-back environment that makes me wonder if I am really volunteering, or simply hosting a big party at my magical sculpture house.
The sculptures are beautiful, the coordinators are knowledgeable, the visitors are fun to interact with.
And the perks are awesome. How do you like free admission? I do. How about invitations to events and dinners? Yep. And what about snacks? There will be snacks.
All and all, Umlauf is a great place to be.
