Mission Statement

Located on 38 secluded acres in the rural mid-Missouri town of Gerald our no-kill, nonprofit 501c3 sanctuary currently provides a loving home to 194 happy and healthy potbellied pigs, many whose lives were not always so.

Our first and foremost commitment is to the pigs, and at Planet Pig Potbellied Pig Sanctuary we promise these wonderful and unique animals a safe haven in a loving, peaceful environment. The work we do here is done from the heart.

Description

We take in pigs who were abused, abandoned, neglected or no longer wanted. We try to find good, loving forever homes for those pigs that love lots of individual attention. We also provide a permanent home to those in whose best interest it is to stay and enjoy a natural, peaceful life with their own species. Here they will always be loved and cared for have the freedom to choose their lifestyle.
