Mission Statement

The National Capital Poison Center is dedicated to preventing poisonings and minimizing injury from poisonings...24/7. We will be the national model for successful poison prevention, quality poisoning treatment, and effective hazard identification and elimination, creating a safer environment for all.

Description

Creative, administrative, and community outreach opportunties available! Volunteers participate in activities to increase awareness of poison center services to the general public and fundraising activities to enable on-going poison center services to the Washington metropolitan area. We need help with bulk mailings, participating in brainstorming sessions for fundraising ideas, creating jingles (music and/or lyrics) for public service announcemnts, graphic design projects, providing presentations in your local community, distributing free magnets and stickers with the poison center's telephone number, creating ideas to attract attention to our cause, and spreading the word in your neighborhood or school that the poison center is here to help!
