Description

OPERATION:HEROES in a nationwide event and "live" prime-time network television broadcast akin to a Kennedy Honors/Academy Awards type program.

Event date is Memorial Day Weekend (May 30, 2010) with some volunteer applications being accepted on or about July 15, 2009.

Medal of Honor presenters are recognized actors/actresses who have starred in leading film and television roles representing the category of medal they'll be presenting, e.g., law enforcement, firefighter, and all five branches of the U.S. Military. A "Citizen" medal will also be given to a heroic America without category restriction. An American Patriot Medal and Fallen Heroes Medal will also be presented.

Internationally recognized music and recording artists will provide theme-related performances through the 2-hr. broadcast.
