Mission Statement

The mission of the Healing The Family, Inc. is to help adolescent ages 10 -18 develop positive decisions making skills regarding sexual behaviors, choices and attitudes about premarital sexual activity. The Family Empowerment Project program activities are designed to provide an intervention that promotes sexual abstience among adolescents, welfare reform, career planning, character and leadership development to adolescents in preparation for self-sufficiency before engaging in sexual activity.

Description

Healing The Family Inc. is a community based, grass roots organization founded and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2007. with the philosophy of "to change any community, you must first heal the family." After the initial inception, Healing The Family, Inc. soon found that adolescent pergnancy, STD/STI, gang violence and truancy was an overwhelming problem in the City of Houston, and implemented the Family Empowerment Project.
