Since it's inaugural year, the San Diego Triathlon Classic has grown from a start-up local event to a destination race drawing participants from all across the nation. In 2010, Chris McCormack, two time winner of the Ironman World Championship, participated in and won the San Diego Triathlon Classic. And last year, the event attracted many of the area’s most celebrated elite and amateur triathletes to the starting line of what was hailed as "the best race of the summer here in San Diego."

Featuring a calm, flat-water swim in the protected Liberty Station channel, a challenging bike course through Naval Base Point Loma to the Cabrillo National Monument, and a scenic trail run through the NTC Park, the San Diego Triathlon Classic is an ideal race for beginners and pros alike.
