Mission Statement

The goal of Youth at Risk North Carolina, Inc. (YARNC) is to lower the rate of unwanted teenage pregnancies in Greensboro, NC. Our year long program inspires our participants to build a powerful future filled with wonderful possibilities. Possibilities that include finishing school, going to college, finding a career, and for those who already have a child, becoming the best parent they can be.

Description

To accomplish our goal, each teenage participant is matched with a carefully selected mentor who will emotionally support her throughout the entire program. Our program includes a three day retreat and on-going scheduled workshops that are designed to educate as well as increase self-worth and self-esteem.
