Mission Statement

Supporting America's communities with emergency response, diverse aviation and ground services, youth development, and promotion of air, space and cyber power.

Description

The CAP membership constitutes a trained force of personnel capable of responding to national, regional, or local emergencies or major disasters. CAP personnel are divided into two categories: volunteer cadet members (aged 12 -17) and volunteer senior members (aged 18 and older). CAP senior members are the primary personnel to respond to emergencies or disasters. CAP civilian volunteers render assistance to local, state, or Federal government, or the armed forces during emergencies or disasters and assistance to the Air Force in accomplishing non-combat programs and missions on a ongoing basis. CAP cadets are an additional source of personnel that can augment senior members in responding to emergencies or disasters.
