THE MACON COUNTY CARE NETWORK, ALSO KNOWN AS CARENET, IS A NON-DENOMINATIONAL MINISTRY WHICH SERVES AS A CENTRAL LOCATION TO PROVIDE RELIEF FOR THOSE IN CRISIS WHEN HELP FROM OTHER AGENCIES IS EITHER UNAVAILABLE OR INSUFFICIENT, CARENET PROVIDES FOOD AND LIMITED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH OTHER NECESSITIES, SUCH AS PRESCRIPTIONS,

MACON COUNTY CARE NETWORK DISTRIBUTED 161,298 POUNDS OF FOOD TO 5,192 FAMILIES A TOTAL OF 12,524 INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THESE FAMILIES WERE SERVED, 7,332 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED A HOT MEAL FROM THE SOUP CAFE THE ""FOOD PANTRY"" RECEIVED 115,356 POUNDS OF FOOD FROM THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY MACON COUNTY CARE NETWORK ASSISTED 838 FAMILIES FINANCIALLY
