Mission Statement

We are dedicated to helping orphans and socially vulnerable young people in Rwanda pursue a university education and ultimately become leaders in driving economic development and social reconciliation.

Description

ORI offers university scholarships to Rwandan students with demonstrated academic talent and personal drive. The comprehensive scholarship that each scholar receives includes university tuition, a monthly stipend, books, housing and health care. In order to prepare our students to succeed academically and professionally, ORI also provides intensive English language instruction, computer literacy training, career development services, and leadership and entrepreneurship training. Currently, there are 178 students attending Rwandan universities through ORI scholarships. This year, 30 students are set to graduate, and they will join the 12 ORI alumni who are now university graduates.
