Mission Statement
The Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs is an ecumenical organization comprising people of faith, committed to making our faith real through acts of compassion that manifest God's caring presence. We coordinate donations of time, talent, money, food and other resources to meet the urgent needs of people in Frederick County.
Description
Shelter Programs The Cold Weather Shleter provides emergency shelter for up to 70 adults each night during the winter In 2008-2009 shelter was provided to 272 individuals In the summer the shelter houses the Exodus Project, an intensive 90-day program to help highly motivated individuals transition out of homelessness In 2009 the program served 20 individuals, 90% were employed and had permanent housing whey they left the program
